    Teague Custom Marine was established in 1972 by Bob Teague.  As an avid boat enthusiast, Bob started the company to help afford his own boat racing program.  During the 1970s, Teague Custom Marine was based in Burbank, California.  Its primary focus was on super high performance v-drives and jets.  Most of the development work in those early years went into making v-drive day cruisers handle with big horsepower, and establishing durable engine and drive train programs.  Bob worked closely with companies such as Spectra and Schiada, rigging and powering a couple hundred awesome cruisers and ski-race boats.
    Teague Custom Marine also provided services to the Nordskog Competition Center, building and maintaining Bob Nordskog’s fleet of marathon and offshore race boats.  Bob’s brother, Norm Teague, was Nordskog’s crew chief who, along with Bob Nordskog and Bob Teague, made up the Nordskog racing team.  This team relationship lasted over twenty years, accounting for an unprecedented race win record and the establishment of numerous world and national endurance speed marks.  Teague Custom Marine Store
Teague Custom Marine Engines     Simultaneously, Bob also raced his own Grand National marathon boat racking up an impressive list of wins and accomplishments including induction into the APBA Hall of Fame.  Currently, Bob and Teague Custom Marine are involved in Offshore and other types of endurance racing.  In 2003, the Super Cat Light team Liquid Metal with Bob on throttles, won the APBA National and World Offshore Championship.  In addition, many of the most successful offshore race teams in the country have been, and continue to be, based out of Teague Custom Marine, achieving an impressive array of World Championships and speed records.  This valuable experience helps to form the methods and procedures that are the basis of Teague Custom Marine products today.
     For almost a decade, following several expansion relocations, Teague Custom Marine is headquartered in a 15,000 square foot mega-store and shop in Valencia, California adjacent to Interstate 5.  In addition to the showroom, Teague Custom Marine in Valencia has complete engine building and machining facilities, custom rigging bays, fabrication departments, stern drive shop, machine shop, warehouse and shipping.  Teague Custom Marine has continued to expand to serve the needs of the custom and performance boater, providing engines, rigging parts, consultation and expertise to many prominent boat builders nationwide.  Teague Custom Marine Show Room

     Teague Custom Marine has become the largest distributor for many of the leading performance aftermarket marine manufacturers, working hand in hand with other companies to develop products that are right for the
performance boater.

     Throughout the years, Bob Teague’s goal has been to continually strive to manufacture problem-solving and customized engines and rigging components.  Most of what Teague Custom Marine manufactures today is a result of its own need to solve a problem or do something better.  As evidence of this fact, you will find a vast array of billet products made by Teague Custom Marine for a complete custom engine and rigging job.
     Bob Teague has been affiliated with Powerboat Magazine since 1972 providing technical assistance and on-staff as a test team member.  Since 1992, Bob Teague has held the position of Technical Editor and Chief Boat Test Driver.  The Powerboat Magazine Performance Trials are regarded as one of the most rigorous evaluations that a boat manufacturer can submit their product to.  Bob Teague, in the course of performing these tests, and testing the many boats that are worked on at Teague Custom Marine, has had the opportunity to test and evaluate almost every make and model on the market.  Currently, Bob tests over 100 different boats annually.   This experience allows Teague Custom Marine to be familiar with your particular need associated with your boat.  There is a good chance that Teague Custom Marine has tested the boat that you have and knows which performance upgrades will benefit you the most.

     Today at Teague Custom Marine, we install everything we sell.  So when you order a part, product, kit, engine or drive from us, we know everything you need to do the job because we have done it ourselves.  No other mail order supplier can make this claim.  Space constraints will not allow us to possibly list every part in stock.  So, if you don’t see it here, call and ask. We probably have what you need.  If we don’t have it, we’ll get it.  If we can’t get it, we’ll make.  If we can’t make it, we’ll help you find some other solution to your problem.
